Black Lives Matter

It was interesting to see how the majority of black people came together as one regarding the abuse of black race in the world and more especially in the United States of America.

It all started with a tragic video, that went viral on social media, where a white police officer called Mr. Chauvin, 44, could be seen brutally arresting a 46 years old armless black american hip pop singer named George Floyd outside a shop in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Mr. Floyd was accused of using a fake, counterfeit, $20 note to purchase a pack of cigarettes.

On the video, we could hear him calling for help as the officer did deliberately suffocate him by kneeling on the neck of the artist while being handcuffed and pinned to the floor.

With the officer's knee on his neck, the poor black guy, who was recently been working as a bouncer in the city, like millions of Americans who was left jobless by the coronavirus pandemic, was having difficulty breathing.

From the video that was shared on social media on the 25th May and viewed by millions of visitors, we could hear some "I Can't Breathe" words coming from the black guy whom was clearly in pain and the officer did not take it seriously and kept suffocating the guy whom after a while went quiet and became very weak. An ambulance had to be urgently called to take care of the rapper. We were worried and waiting unpatiently to hear if the victim was dead which happened to be the case. The poor guy passed out by suffocation. And the officer was since charged with murder.

As a result, millions of black, white, indian people, from different places of the world, marched to protest against the police brutally that civilians, more especially blacks in this case, have to deal with on a dealy basis around the globe.

Black Live Matter was a message that needed to be sent way before the Floyd tragic event happened since police brutally over black people have been going on for centuries now and nothing has ever been done seriously regarding the matter.

Well, this was one of plenty other similar cases where citizens of countries face abusal by police officers.

Yes we support the idea, but is this type of protest only happening when it is a white person abusing over a black one or it is also when blacks are taking advantage of their fellow black brothers and sisters? It is a question.

The African continent is made of many xenophobic behavior that trigged my attention. We frequently see how Africans are mistreating their fellow Africans brothers and sisters who immigrate to foreign African countries for either survival or security reasons.

Does Black Lives Matter only concern other continents and not our own? An other question.

I believe we first need to take care of ourselves before we think of others as we all foreigners in another country no matter the reason we are there for.
